Professional Scanning Service - Technical Details
We scan and digitize photos, slides, and negatives of any format using high-end commercial scanners that produce unmatched image quality. Our expert digital imaging technicians spend time with each individual frame to ensure ideal exposure, focus, color fidelity, cropping, and orientation. We create files suitable for online photo sharing as well as CDs or DVDs with image files and folders.
We are a leading photography scanning, film scanning, slide scan service, photographic negatives (including large format scanning) and transparency scanning service used by professionals for slide conversion, photo conversion, negative scanning, and photo archiving.

Our Scanning Process and Equipment
We use commercial grade scanners and have partnerring relationships with commercial scanning services when a more exotic process is required.
- Photos are scanned on full color flat bed scanners up to 11'x17' with resolution up to 1200dpi. Larger items are scanned in segments and stitched together digitally, or scanned using an art scanning set-up at very high resolutions (call for quote).
Photos in albums are extracted from the album when possible, or scanned in the pages and separated digitally.
We scan documents on 11"x17" flat bed scanners with ADF or without (for delicate and uneven material) in full color at up to 600dpi. Items can be scanned on cradle scanners if required (call for quote). - 35mm negatives and slides are scanned on dedicated Nikon scanners with resolutions up to 4000dpi. Our standrad resolution is 1500dpi and is equivalent to a full page scan at 300dpi. Digital-ICE dust and scratch removalis used by default. You may request that we do not apply it.
- Other positive and negative film items are scanned on high end Epson flat bed scanners with special adapters. Minimum resolution used is 1000dpi for large format film and up to 9600dpi for small items or special requirements. Digital-ICE dust and scratch removal is used by default. You may request that we do not apply it.

Output Formats
We can also produce high quality photo prints from your digital images. Prints can range in size from 4"x6" to 12"x18" printed on photo paper, as well as special orders for poster size prints on a variety of materials (paper, canvas, etc.).
