Digital Photo Prints

We can also produce high quality photo prints from your digital images. Prints can range in size from 4"x6" to 12"x18" printed on photo paper, as well as special orders for poster size prints on a variety of materials (paper, canvas, etc.).

Scanning Pictures – Professional Photo Scanning

We offer picture scanning services for any size photo. We utilize flatbed scanning for items up to 11"x17" in size and a special setup for artwork and larger items. We can scan items in albums individually or entire pages while capturing the captions as well. We are experts in full color high-resolution document scanning of delicate documents requiring special handling and flatbed scanning. We also perform document imaging on high speed ADF equipped high resolution, gray scale, scanners.

Slide Scan Service

We convert slides to digital images – slides to digital photos. We transfer 35mm slides to digital formats (JPEG and TIFF) at scanning resolution ranging from 1500dpi to 4000dpi – or higher – as may be required. We also handle super slides (format 127 – 37mm) and kodachrome film. See our scanning resolution page.

Digitizing slides and converting slides are performed on commercial slide transfer Nikon auto-feeding scanners equipped with Digital-ICE™ technology for scratch and dust removal. We airbrush all slides prior to scanning.

Negative Film Scanning

We digitize photographic negatives of any format (JPEG and TIFF). We scan 35mm negatives. We also scan 110 film and perform medium (120 and 220 format) and large format scanning (4"x5"). We also scan other odd size transparent material (glass plates, etc.) on very high resolution Epson flatbed scanners.

We also handle APS (Kodak Advantix) film cartridges. Please be aware that some cartridges are likely to be unusable.

The negatives film scanning is performed on commercial Nikon and Minolta auto-feeding scanners equipped with Digital-ICE™ technology for scratch and dust removal. We airbrush all film prior to scanning.

Photos, Slides, & Negatives Transfer Prices

We can scan items in albums or in various types of slide holders. An album access fee of $0.25 per image will apply if we take items out and put them back in.

Double this rate will apply in the cases where we need to perform more manipulations on the items (scan individually within the album, etc.)

All regular scan services include basic color and exposure correction (Tru-color option in the shopping cart). All slides and negatives are scanned with CleanScan (Digital-ICE) as a default at no addtional cost. You may indicate in your order if you do not want Tru-color or CleanScan.

We use dedicated commercial equipment complete with noise reduction and image stabilizationwhen we transfer home movies to DVD. Our process produces exceptional video quality. Digital Pickle can perform professional video editing and DVD authoring to your requirements. We are able to handle high volume video archiving projects and transfer video tapes to DVDs as well as uncompressed video to external hard drives or mini-DVs in AVI, Quicktime, MPEG4 (H.264), and any required proprietary format for editing and archiving.

We Digitize Movie Film – convert film to DVD. We convert 8mm, Super 8mm, and 16mm film using high fidelity digital transfer technology. Our aerial-capture process produces uniform lighting, unmatched clarity, and stunning color depth. Your film is converted to digital video in the form of full quality digital video files and/or a playable DVD disc that is compatible with almost all DVD players.

We digitize and convert records and transfer to CD any audio cassettes, reel-to-reel audio tapes and DAT and output the digital audio noisefiles to high quality audio CDs. Level optimization and track separation are part of our standard service. We also offer audio cleanup services to reduce noise, hiss, and to normalize audio levels for audio cassette to CD transfer. When we convert records the same service is available plus the optional noise reduction service may become very handy.

We can perform digital retouching on any photo or digital image. Image retouching is performed by our expert technicians manually using Adobe Photoshop. Since photo touch up requirements vary greatly, we quote our work on an hourly basis and most projects take much less than an hour. Photo Editing is often requested to remove or add objects or people to an original image resulting in a very different final image. This work is also quoted on an hourly basis for the same reasons as photo touch up.

The final product is a DVD disc that is compatible with almost all DVD players and can be controlled just like a movie (i.e. pause, fast-forward, etc.).
